According to reports, Arsenal are considering paying a percentage of Mesut Ozil’s wages after he leaves the club to see a potential move this window more likely.

The German has very much been a bit-part player for Unai Emery since the Spaniard arrived.

Reports surfaced that the two had fallen out at the beginning of the season and Ozil has gone on to play just 13 of the 22 league games.

Just one year ago, the 30 year-old penned a new contract that made him the club’s highest-earning player on £350,000 per week, and it’s not surprising that that eye-watering figure is putting off potential suitors.

Arsenal have no money for transfers this window and a shipping out Ozil appears to be the only option for Emery to bring in reinforcements.

ESPN claim the German has courted interested from China, while Inter Milan are considering a loan move.
