Arsenal youngster Stephy Mavididi is close to joining Juventus.

Mavididi has represented England U17, U18, U19 and U20 at international level but has never made a senior appearance for Arsenal.

The Englishman has previously spent time on loan at Charlton and Preston, scoring twice in 15 appearances for the Addicks.

Mavididi was not involved in Arsenal’s pre-season tour and Sky Sports claim Juventus are in talks with the youngster over a permanent move to Italy.

Mavididi playing for Preston last season

Arsenal already have a star-studded strike force with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette leading the line. Game time for Mavididi woud likely come at a premium this season.

However, as would appearances at Juve who have Paolo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo leading the line.

It is also expected that the Old Lady would use the 20-year-old in their own academy with a view to promoting him in the future.

Juventus were recently granted permission to play an under-23s side in Serie C in a landmark decision in Italian football. It could offer Mavididi regular game time in a league equivalent to Ligue 1 in England.
