According to reports, Unai Emery is considering leaving Mesut Ozil out of his away side on a more regular basis.

The German was dropped from the Arsenal starting XI for the contest at Bournemouth on Sunday.

Ozil’s shock omission from the side didn’t stop the Gunners extending their unbeaten run to 17 matches,

Emery expressed his concern that the 30-year-old midfielder would struggle to cope with the physical demands of what proved an intense clash.

The manager is believed to have been disappointed by Ozil’s performance in the 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace earlier this month. Ozil was substituted at Selhurst Park, after which he threw a mini-tantrum.

Ozil signed a new contract in February. He currently takes home £350,000 per week, but shockingly is no longer a guaranteed starter.

If Emery leaves Ozil out of away days, Gooners – is it the right call? Let us know in the comments…
