Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck looks set to leave the Emirates at the end of the season.

Welbeck is currently sidelined after breaking his ankle in November and with his current contract expiring at the end of the season, Sky Sports News understands the Gunners currently have no plans to offer him a new contract.

The Gunners striker, who arrived from Manchester United in 2014 has been hampered by injury since his £15m deal.

He spent six months out during the 2015-16 season with a knee injury before another lengthy spell out between May 2016 and January 2017.

Welbeck required two rounds surgery last month so any future appearances for the Gunners are in serious doubt.

The forward who made 126 appearances during a spell in North London is likely to join Aaron Ramsey in leaving on a free transfer next summer.
