Arsenal are set for a busy summer transfer window following the arrival of Unai Emery.

Despite finishing a lowly 6th place last term, the Spaniard insists the Gunners have a tremendous squad.

Emery will no doubt be keen to get reinforcements in and one man who is being linked with a move to the Emirates is Nice midfielder John-Michael Seri.

He was a reported target last of the Gunners last summer, but no official bid was made.

Now according to Sky Sports, Nice are willing to accept £35m to release the 26 year-old midfielder.

The Ivorian who is admired by Emery, has made 30 starts for Nice in Ligue 1 this term.

Despite Arsenal’s keen interest, it is suggested the Ivory Coast international is also being chased by Premier League rivals Chelsea. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund are also keeping tabs on his situation.

Seri could be the perfect dynamic midfielder presence if the Gunners can get their man.

It’s unclear whether any of their current midfielders will be departing the Emirates. Jack Wilshere looks set to sign a new deal, but Aaron Ramsey is yet to begin contract talks.
