Arsenal’s Head of Recruitment Sven Mislintat wants to bring in £72m-rated Lille star Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivorian has been in scintillating form for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.
Pepe has netted 16 goals in just 23 appearances and is seemingly the recommendation of the German chief Mislintat.
According to football.london, the Gunners may look at Leandro Trossard as a cheap alternative if they cannot agree a few with Monaco.
Liverpool are also chasing the Ivory Coast international. Pepe could also be a fine signing for the Reds however, following a slight dip in form from Roberto Firmino and to a lesser extent Mohamed Salah.
Pepe has shown his worth this season, showing great pace, skill and an eye for goal in an attacking midfield role.
Trossard doesn’t quite look in the same league, but Arsenal are rarely among the biggest spenders in the transfer market, so Gooners may end up seeing the Genk midfielder in an Arsenal shirt.
