Sven Mislintat left his post as Chief Scout at Arsenal earlier this year.

Today, it’s been revealed which transfer disagreement majorly disgruntled the ‘Diamond Eye’ and urged him to give up after just over a year in the role.

Mislintat has been replaced by former player Edu as technical director this summer.

The ex-Gunner will now face the challenge at the Emirates of helping to get transfers in over the line.

Mislintat, who left in February has been suggested to have a different opinion to Emery over one major signing – Denis Suarez.

Mislintat left shortly after Suarez’s arrival

But the scout was reportedly left dismayed by Emery when he took the executive decision to snap up Suarez from Barcelona.

The midfielder joined on loan from the Catalan outfit on deadline day in January, and according to The Times, Mislintat was left fuming.

The former Borussia Dortmund chief was keen on the Gunners incorporating young talents such as Joe Willock and Bukayo Saka.

Mislintat left just days after Suarez’s arrival. Meanwhile, the Spaniard had a forgettable spell at The Emirates, failing to start a single league game.
