Arsenal manager Unai Emery is disappointed with the club’s signings.
That’s according to former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood.
Emery has taken a back seat in organising transfer dealings at Arsenal since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
That mantle was bestowed on Sven Mislintat – the ‘Diamond Eye’ of scouting played an important role in the arrivals of stars such as Lucas Torreira, Bernd Leno and Matteo Guendouzi.
However, with Arsenal struggling in their fight for Champions League football next season, Sherwood has claimed that Emery is unhappy with the personnel he’s been handed.
“It [the relationship between Emery and Mislintat] doesn’t seem to be a match made in heaven does it at Arsenal.
“It looks like they’re going to be on the change and they’re going to change the system and the way they want to work.
“They’re probably going to bring another one in because that’s the model they want.
“So he’s going to go to pastures new and Emery’s going to probably get his man in there who is going to identify the players he wants.
“He’s obviously not happy at the ones the guy who’s leaving in February, Sven Mislintat, has brought in.
“So they’re going to have to try and change that structure.
“Well not change it, but they’re going to have to bring in someone different who suits Emery’s style.”
