Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent has held talks with Arsenal, according to reports.
The Real Madrid star is suggested to be at an impasse with the club over a new contract.
The report also claims Jorge Mendes has also entered discussions with Chelsea and Tottenham about a sensational summer switch for his client.
The 33 year-old needs no introduction having established himself as one of the greatest ever to step on a pitch.
He’s been battling Lionel Messi for the ‘World’s best player’ status for over a decade and has scored 429 goals in just 422 games since moving to Real from Manchester United in 2009.
However, Ronaldo has been a shadow of his usually prolific self this season – as have Real Madrid, who are currently 17 points adrift of Barcelona. It’s just 11 goals and 4 assists in La Liga for the Portuguese star so far.
Arsenal have loosened their purse-strings recently, but a deal for Ronaldo would likely put a huge strain on their wage structure.
