Roy Keane has slammed Arsenal for their ‘over the top’ celebrations during their 4-0 win over Newcastle.
After a slow start, the Gunners turned on the style in the second half to thrash Steve Bruce’s side and claim their first Premier League win since New Year’s Day.
Alexandre Lacazette was bundled over by his team-mates after scoring the Gunners’ fourth and final goal in injury-time, shortly after coming on as a late substitute.
Keane was asked on MNF whether the Gunners are in the running for Champions League qualification and responded with a definitive ‘no’ before ripping into the players for their ‘ridiculous’ celebrations.
‘That was way over the top,’ he told Sky Sports (via Mail).
‘I thought they were 10 points clear at the top of the league the way they were celebrating at the end.
‘Forget Arsenal. You’ve beaten Newcastle 4-0. Ridiculous.’
