Southampton are interested in resigning Theo Walcott from Arsenal, reports say.

The Englishman who burst on the scene for the Saints was plucked by Arsene Wenger’s in 2006.

Walcott has been afforded considerably less game time this season and it’s been suggested Arsenal are willing to cash in on the player in January.

The 28 year-old has a number of clubs queuing up for his signature, including West Ham, Everton and Inter Milan. Walcott will be keen to get regular game time under his belt ahead of next summer’s World Cup and a move could be best for his career.

Now it appears Southampton have joined the race to secure the star who made 21 appearances for the St Mary’s side.

It has been suggested that Walcott could cost anywhere between £12m and £15m. The forward has scored 107 times during his time for Arsenal.

Gooners, how will you feel if Walcott was to leave in January? Let us know in the comments…
