Alexis Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to both Real Madrid and Manchester City.
The 28 year-old, who came close to sealing a £60m deadline day move to the Etihad is starting to pick up form for Arsenal, which is perfect news for the club if they decide to part with him in January.
It’s been well documented that Sanchez’s current deal with the club expires at the end of the season and Arsenal are set to lose him for free should they keep him beyond January.
The Chilean who bagged 30 goals for the club last season is expected to be the subject of a £50m offer from Manchester City next month.
Of course, it is in Arsenal’s best interest if their talisman leaves the Premier League instead of signing for a direct rival. Pep Guardiola’s side are already high-flying and the addition of Sanchez would be terrible news for the rest of the Premier League.
The Gunners should instead offer the Chile international to Real Madrid at the same price, with the La Liga side desperate to ignite their season.
Arsene Wenger has stressed that neither Sanchez or Mesut Ozil will be sold in January, however, the Frenchman has a reputation for going back on his word when it comes to transfer business.
Thoughts, Gooners? Should Arsenal sell Sanchez to Real? Or risk him signing for Man City in the summer? Let us know in the comments…
