Alexis Sanchez is more likely to head to Manchester City than to Paris Saint-Germain.

That’s according to former Premier League shot-stopper Shaka Hislop who says the Chilean will favour a move to Pep Guardiola’s side rather than crossing the channel.

Sanchez came close to a trasnfer deadline day switch to City in the summer, but the move was scuppered after Arsenal failed to line a suitable replacement.

The forward has since dipped in and out of form which has coincided with Arsenal’s struggles in the Premier League.

And Hislop believes the ace will join City, much to the annoyance of Arsenal fans.

“Sanchez linked with PSG and Manchester City,” Hislop said.

“I thought the Manchester City link was the stronger one and more likely to happen. PSG, I’m not too sure.“As much as I think Alexis Sanchez graces any team, I’m just not sure where he fits in PSG as it stands right now.

“I just feel that the interest of Manchester City earlier on in the season, that is the more likely destination.

“I’m sure they would (prefer he went abroad) but it’s not up to Arsenal if his contract expires in the summer.”

Sanchez was substituted after 83 minutes during Arsenal’s goalless draw with West Ham in midweek. Some Arsenal fans have called for the Chile international to be dropped for the clash with Newcastle this weekend.
