Arsenal fans seem to be all asking the same question about Serge Gnabry following his impressive display against Liverpool on Tuesday night.

The Bayern Munich winger started for the Bundesliga champions at Anfield for the first leg of their round of 16 Champions League tie.

Gnabry spent five years at Arsenal before moving back to his homeland. The German broke into Arsene Wenger’s first team in 2014, but struggled to maintain a starting place before departing from the Emirates.

He was sold by the Gunners back in 2016, but on Tuesday the 24 year-old showed just what he’s about, playing from the right and giving Andy Robertson problems throughout the first half.

Unsurprisingly Arsenal fans are questioning just why the club let him go?

On Twitter, one Gunners fan wrote: “Watching Gnabry be so clinical and skilled hurts. He is literally the winger Arsenal are missing right now. Wish we kept him.”

Another added: “Watching Gnabry dominate that right wing after Arsenal offloaded him for being a ‘dead weight.'”

A third wrote: “Who the hell thought Gnabry wasn’t good enough for Arsenal?”

And a fourth concluded: “That was Arsenal reject Serge Gnabry sending the Premier League’s best left back out for a pint of milk in the build up to Alisson’s save from Matip.”
