Serge Gnabry names an Arsenal play as the best player he’s played with

Former Arsenal midfielder Serge Gnabry has hailed Mesut Ozil as the best player he’s played with.

The German left the Emirates in 2016, having broken into the team in his final two years of his five year stint in London.

Gnabry, who now plays for Bayern Munich, played alongisde Ozil various times for both Arsenal and the Germany national team, says the playmaker stands out among the great players he has shared a pitch with.

Ozil has played just 13 league games so far this season

“I’ve already played with many good guys. But, if I have to highlight one, I take Mesut Ozil” he told Goal.

“The kind of quality I have seen in his training and in the games at that time was amazing.”

Ozil missed a game for the 100th time in his Arsenal career when he was omitted from the squad that lost away at BATE Borisov on last Thursday.

Speculation continues to mount surrounding his future, but most Gooners are keen to see the 30 year-old return to the first-team as soon as possible.
