It’s fair to say Alexis Sanchez has not had the best of starts for Manchester United.

The forward who was welcomed to Old Trafford with open arms in January was considered a huge coup for the Red Devils.

At the time of his departure, most Arsenal fans were disappointed with the business. However, the Chile international has failed to reproduce the form that saw him hailed as one of Arsene Wenger’s greatest signings.

Sanchez signed a deal worth £391,000-a-week when he linked up with Jose Mourinho’s side at the turn of the year. Yet astonishingly, the 29 year-old has scored just two league goals in the whole of 2018.

It’s a start contrast to his Arsenal form. Between the years of 2014 and 2018, the Chilean scored 80 times and provided 45 assists in 166 appearances for the Gunners.

His deal also includes £75,000 per appearance, and an annual signing-on fee of £1.1million. All in all, Sanchez’s total earnings to date are £14.48million.
