The team needs major investment which should have come from the sale of Sanchez and Ozil. Over the last few years, Arsenal seems to have progressed backward and it is difficult to see when this will stop. They are no longer the top team in North London and it could take them a considerable time to reclaim that throne. Spurs have taken the complete opposite approach to player contract and unless the Gunners follow their bitter rivals blueprint, they could implode.
