Henrikh Mkhitaryan was a total passenger, but Arsenal’s 2-1 win against Bournemouth allowed the Armenian to escape without severe criticism.

The playmaker played the full 90 minutes on the south coast, but struggled to make any in-roads into Eddie Howe’s side.

In fact, the 29 year-old is not enjoying the best of seasons. It’s just two goals and one assist in 10 matches for the former Manchester United midfielder.

Mesut Ozil was dropped for the trip to Bournemouth, but the German is likely to be immediately recalled to the starting XI with Mkhitaryan potentially missing out.

Arsenal fans were not best pleased with Mkhitrayan’s performance either.

One supporter wrote: “Mkhitaryan has not played well once this season.”

Another added: “Can anyone remember a game Mkhitaryan played well in? I’m struggling to find one. I think he’ll be gone in the summer.”

Gooners, should Mkhi be dropped for the NLD? Let us know in the comments…
