Arsenal’s kind fixtures mean they are fortunate to be on a ten game winning run.

That’s the opinion of former England international Stuart Pearce.

The Gunners came from behind to beat Leicester 3-1 on Monday night to extend their winning streak.

Meust Ozil and a brace from substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with the goals to bring Unai Emery’s side just two points off the top of the Premier League.

However, the result could have been very different, with the Foxes having the better share of possession and chances during the first-half.

And despite the winning run, Pearce doesn’t believe Arsenal been that impressive.

Discussing Monday’s win over Leicester, he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “Arsenal played some lovely football in the second half, but the game could have gone either way, really.

“Leicester played extremely well in the first half and could have had a couple of goals, which would have changed the balance of the game.

“I think the fixtures have been fairly kind to Arsenal so far.

“Any time they have played the other top six teams they’ve been beaten this year and I think push will come to shove when they play the bigger teams again.”

Out of teams in the top half of the table, Arsenal only have wins over Watford and Everton so far.

The Gunners’ next test is away to Crystal Palace on Sunday. It’s a fixture that saw them humiliated 3-0 in 2017.
