Unai Emery will be aiming to claim his fourth Europa League winner’s medal as he enters the campaign for the first time with Arsenal.

The Gunners head coach has a love affair with the competition, having won it in three consecutive season’s with Sevilla between 2014 and 2016.

Like his predecessor Arsene Wenger, Emery is expected to continue the philosophy of blooding his youngsters into the competition.

In terms of injuries, Arsenal are still without long-term absentees Laurent Koscielny and Sead Kolasinac. Ainsley Maitland-Niles is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a broken leg sustained against Manchester City back in August, but he will not be available for selection either.

Goalkeeper Bernd Leno is expected to make his long awaited debut. Meanwhile, Lucas Torreira could receive his first start of the season.

Arsenal should have no problems making their way through a section which also includes Sporting Lisbon and Qarabag as they look to advance deep into the Europa League once again.
