Arsenal will be without Aaron Ramsey and Shkodran Mustafi for Saturday’s visit of Newcastle. The pair are both sidelined through injury, while Santi Cazorla remains a long-term absentee.

It means Jack Wilshere is set to keep his place in the side after earning his first Premier League start of the season at West Ham on Wednesday night.

Unlike Wilshere, Olivier Giroud failed to impress in his first start and the Frenchman is expected to drop back to the bench in place of Alexandre Lacazette.

It’s a must-win game for the Gunners, who do boast a solid home form despite being schooled in their most recent game against Manchester United.

A 3-1 defeat at the hands of Jose Mourinho’s team is sandwiched between a 5-0 win over Huddersfield and a 6-0 victory over Bate Borisov in the Europa League.

Gooners should expect higher intensity form the side that struggled to break down West Ham in midweek.
