The next 3 key Arsenal men Wenger must give a new deal to

Arsenal are a team that is full of individuals who other clubs will by keeping a close eye on, and be seeing if they can persuade some of these professionals to join them by offering a lot of money for their services.

Arsene Wenger throughout his Arsenal career has seen many of his key players leave his side to join a “bigger” team, who are offering more money than the North London club were for their services.

In the modern transfer market, clubs have to fork out large amounts of money to their players so that they will not be tempted to leave the club should an offer comes in.

Recently, Chinese Super League clubs have been wading in offering unheard of amounts of money to Premier League stars, which has tempted many to move to China due to the money. Something that Arsene Wenger and Arsenal fans will not want.

There has been a long running saga surrounding the future of both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, the Gunners have been focusing on deals for other key members of the squad, something they need to push on further with.

With that in mind, here are THREE Arsenal players Wenger must give a new deal to in the near future…

Theo Walcott

The England and Arsenal winger has been the subject of criticism by his teams fans throughout his Arsenal career but has always silenced them by scoring goals. Walcott, who has now been at the Emirates since 2006, is Arsenal’s longest serving player in the current squad, whilst scoring ninety-one goals in his North London career.

Arsene Wenger should get Theo to put pen to paper to extend his contract so that no other club would be able to tempt him to switch to their club.

Nacho Monreal

Arsenal’s first choice left-back has improved every season since joining the Gunners in 2012 and is now a well established Premier League full-back. Nacho, who had a shaky start to his Arsenal career is one of the first names on the teamsheet, and finds himself playing ninety minutes every week.

Arsenal need to keep the Spaniards services if they want to keep a good and solid structure to their team shape. The Spanish international is full of energy, and will rarely let a player past him.

David Ospina

Although the Colombian is not Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper, it is vital that Arsene Wenger keeps Ospina’s services due to an injury to Petr Cech and rotation in cup and Champions League games. The Colombia international is an exceptional shot-stopper, and is unfortunate to find himself not playing on a weekly basis.

David Ospina could be tempted to leave the Emirates due to not playing every week, so it is important for Arsene Wenger to get the goalkeeper to put pen to paper and sign a new deal in North London to scare off interested clubs.
