Not really much he could have done about the goals in midweek (although I thought perhaps he could have done better on the first), and I think he will retain his place in the side. He has looked sharp for the most part, and I don’t think he has done anything to lose his place.

Mertesarker has always slowed our passed and is easily closed down by the opponents. We spent good money on Gabriel and I think his time has come. Byeeee bye Mertesacker
