Arsenal were beaten in the Europa League 1-0 at BATE Borisov on Thursday night.
The Belarusian side are effectively in pre-season having not have not played a competitive game since their final Europa League group game two months ago.
That didn’t stop Stanislav Dragun nodding home Igor Stasevich’s free-kick for the game’s only goal just before half-time. BATE held out to hand Arsenal a fourth away defeat in five games in all competitions.
Several Gooners have heavily criticised Unai Emery following the club’s 1-0 first-leg and lacklustre performance.
The Spaniard again faced questions about the absence of Mesut Ozil, who was left at home in London despite returning to full training following a recent illness. Arsenal lacked creativity in central areas with Aaron Ramsey sidelined wtih a knee injury.
The loss prompted many Arsenal fans to take to social media after the game to express their displeasure at the result but also Emery’s management.
Take a look…
Time and money won't make Emery a better manager I'm afraid.

Emery doesn't deserve one more season after this one. Sack him when our season finishes.

Emery was such a poor choice for this job. Completely out of his depth. He needs to be sacked regardless of what happens this season. #EmeryOut
