Sunderland youngster Sam Greenwood appears to have confirmed his move to Arsenal.
The Gunners have already completed three signings under new boss Unai Emery this summer and it appears the Spaniard is not finished yet.
Greenwood, 16, who was regarded as the shining light of Sunderland’s academy, notched up six goals and six assists for the club’s Under-18 side last season.
The striker’s performances last term put a number of elite teams on red alert this summer including Manchester United, Liverpool and even Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart.
The Englishman has now reportedly signed a longterm deal with the club, after he posted a photo of London Colney on his social media account on Tuesday.
Arsenal are also expected to announce the arrival of Mateo Guendouzi. The Frenchman, 19, was pictured signing a contract with Ivan Gazidis this week.
It will be interesting to see whether Emery bloods his new starlets into the first-team this season or solely allows Fredie Ljungberg to nurture them in the Under-23’s.
