Ivan Gazidis looks all but set to join AC Milan  just months after restructuring Arsenal and overseeing Arsene Wenger’s departure.

The Arsenal chief executive will face supporters in a fans forum this week is expected to join the Italian giants who have new owners.

Gazidis has somehow been allowed by the Arsenal board to spend seven weeks deliberating on whether to accept an offer from AC Milan, despite the destabilising effect of having your lead administrator in limbo for such a period.

The 54 year-old has reportedly been offered a £1million rise on his £2.6m salary to take up the same role in Italy.

He’s endured a fractious relationship with Arsenal fans since arriving in 2006.

Arsenal fans had been informed that moving to the Emirates Stadium would provide them with a platform to compete with the Europe’s best. However, ironically, Arsene Wenger was forced to sell his best talents to Europe’s best year after year.

Gazidis played a major part in bringing new manager Unai Emery to the club based on the success he enjoyed at Sevilla and Paris St Germain.

The Spaniard has orchestrated back-to-back-to-back wins in the Premier League as his players continue to gel into his style of play.
