According to reports, Manchester United are preparing to offer Eric Bailly to Arsenal as part of a swap deal for Mesut Ozil.

Bailly has failed to win Jose Mourinho over following his arrival in the summer of 2016.

If the swap deal goes ahead it would be the second January transfer window in succession. Last season saw the Gunners give up Alexis Sanchez to Mourinho’s side, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan going the other way.

Reports are now stating that the two Premier League rivals could be set for a similar deal again in the next window.

Mesut Ozil has had an unconvincing start to the season and following his reported bust up with boss Unai Emery, the manager is now open to cashing in on the playmaker on £350-000-per-week.

Meanwhile, the Mirror suggest Ivory Coast defender Bailly could be ready to quit Old Trafford after growing frustrated by a lack of playing time this season.

Gooners, is it a fair swap? Let us know…
