Arsenal star Mesut Ozil could be set for a surprising move to Turkey in January.
The midfielder, who has had an unconvincing start to the season has been linked with Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
Ozil signed a new three-and-a-half year deal with Arsenal in February, but the German has struggled to hit top form since.
His new deal worth £350,000 per-week puts him as the highest earner at Arsenal, but this has made no difference to new boss Unai Emery, who dropped the 29 year-old from his starting XI last month.
Rumours spread that the pair had fallen out before Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over West Ham, which Ozil supposedly missed due to illness.
And now it seems the Emery is ready to open the exit door for the former Real Madrid playmaker.
The Daily Mail add that Arsenal would sell for a fee in the region of £42million, but
Gooners, would selling Ozil in January be the right move? Let us know in the comments…
