It is believed Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in signing £18m-rated Canadian striker Jonathan ‘Iceman’ David, after NINE goals in six games.

The Gent forward, 19, has 22 strikes in all this season for the Belgian side and was the subject of a rebuffed £5million bid from Porto.

David – who got the nickname ‘Iceman’ because of his composure under pressure – bagged a hat-trick in a 4-1 win over St Truiden last weekend.

He has 11 goals in 12 internationals for his country and is rated at around £18m.

The Daily Mail report that United scouts have taken notice of his exploits.

Arsenal are likely to find it tricky to keep hold of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer and young talent David could be the ideal replacement.

According to reports, Arsenal are also ready to trigger the release clause of Getafe full-back Marc Cucurella. The Gunners could be forced to sign a new left-sided player with Bukayo Saka refusing to commit to a new deal as of yet.

The Gunners are just one of a number of clubs willing to pay the £21million (€25m) release clause for the defender.
