So, there we have it, the biggest news of the hipsters calendar year so far, Jurgen Klopp will be leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of the current Bundesliga campaign.
The charismatic Klopp, despite almost leading the former Bundesliga champions to relegation this season, still seems to be top of most elite clubs shopping lists; he has been linked with Manchester City, Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid to name just a few clubs.
Of course, given strong links previously, Klopp is also deemed a candidate to replace Arsene Wenger in the summer.
Now, whether you like it or not, we all know that, that has absolute zero chance of happening. Firstly, because Wenger will decide when he wants to leave and he has never been one to break a contract, secondly, he won’t be sacked and thirdly, why should Arsene let someone else swoop in when the cream has finally risen to the top after so more years of turbulence?
Anyway, there’s actually a decent debate rumbling on within the Arsenal fan base re: Klopp and here are some of the best/worst bits from Twitter:
#Wenger would always step aside for the right candidate. Jurgen #Klopp isn’t that man. #AFC

#Klopp failed at Dortmund where the situation became very similar to the one Wenger navigated Arsenal through impressively. #AFC

If we don’t sign Klopp, he will go to another top club & win big trophies. The guy’s a dynamic , driven young winner. #afc

What an appointment that would be, Wenger if you’re wanting to do it right for the good of the club, it’s time to step aside #Klopp #AFC

I trust in wenger, and wengers succesor should be from Arsenal legends
Arsene Wenger stays…best manager ever. I luv Klopp so much but can replace wenger and is not better than wenger.
