Arsenal U21s will take on Peterborough United in the Second Round of the EFL Trophy, having finished second in Southern Group G. The U21s drew 2-2 away at Swindon Town (won 5-4 on penalties), hammered Exeter City 5-0 at St. James’ Park and lost 5-2 to Reading to secure a place in the next round of the competition.
The Posh finished top of Southern Group D, with two wins and a defeat: Peterborough United 2-0 Cambridge United, Peterborough United 3-1 Tottenham Hotspur U21s and Colchester United 1-0 Peterborough United.
The Second Round matches will be played during the week commencing 4th December.
