UEFA has made it clear that they will act should Arsenal supporters protest during the Europa League final.

Gooners have been left furious after it was announced Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not travel with the squad to Baku next week due to concerns of his safety.

Arsenal could not guarantee the midfielder will be safe in Azerbaijan political tensions between his native Armenia and Azerbaijan – many fans have called for protests or even a boycott.

Officials will be on the lookout for any anti-UEFA banners in Baku as well as listening out for chants.

Legia Warsaw were fined £70,000 for a banner which showed a UEFA badge, a pig dressed in a suit and the words: ‘Because football doesnLegia Warsaw were fined £70,000 for displaying this banner during a Europa League play-off‘Because football doesn’t matter, money does.’ Celtic were also fined £20,000 for a banner which read: ‘F*** UEFA.’

Arsenal take on Chelsea on Wednesday (May 29). A win would not only seal Unai Emery a debut season trophy, but would see the Gunners return to the Champions League next season.
