According to reports, Arsenal will attempt to sign Eric Bailly this summer.

The Manchester United enforcer has been linked with a move to the Emirates for some time and the Mail suggests Unai Emery is now eying a cut-price deal for his signature.

The 25-year-old centre-back had a promising first season at the club under Jose Mourinho but soon lost his place, while he has also failed to impress Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since the Norwegian took charge.

Unai Emery is preparing a summer clear out at Arsenal

Concerningly, Bailly has started just one Premier League match since the turn of the year and haseven made an appearance since the start of March.

However, the Ivorian remains admired by Emery who is hugely familiar with the centre-back who previously played in La Liga with Espanyol and Villarreal while Emery was in charge at Sevilla.

Arsenal believe they can secure his arrival for a cut-price and intend to open negotiations at £20million, which is significantly less than the £30million United paid to sign him back in 2016.
