Arsenal boss Unai Emery has batted away suggestions the clu will look to offload Matteo Guendouzi for a big fee this summer.

The teeanger signed for Arsenal as one of Emery’s very first recruits and has impressed in his debut season.

Guendouzi, 19, is now being strongly linked with a big money move to Paris Saint-Germain, with the Ligue 1 champions supposedly prepared to cough up £60m for his services.

The Gunners spent just £7m on the midfielder last summer and could make a substantial profit in just one year.

However, Emery clearly no interested in parting with his prodigy.

The Spaniard said: “His development is like we want. He has a big ambition, big quality. Sometimes we need more quality with him and for him to be more stronger in midfield.

Guendouzi has made 33 appearances for Arsenal in his debut season

“But his development with us is very important and he’s playing with big consistency. His quality is very impressive.”

Responding to claims that PSG are lining up a move for Guendouzi, Emery added:

Guendouzi started as Arsenal overturned a 3-0 deficit to BATE Borisov in the Europa League. After making it through to the last 16, Emery, who won the Europa League three times in a row as boss of Sevilla, is starting to dream of a fourth triumph in Europe’s second-string tournament.

As reported by The Sun, he said: “Maybe we are one of the teams that can win the Europa League but it will be very difficult and a lot of other teams want the same thing.
