Unai Emery has reportedly been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid’s Mariano Diaz this summer.
The Arsenal boss allowed Danny Welbeck to leave the club and is now on the lookout for reinforcements at the top end of the pitch.
However, with a tight budget, Emery is unable to splash the cash and is restricted on which players he can target.
As a result, The Express say, Emery could be tempted by Real Madrid’s offer of Mariano Diaz, who they are willing to let leave Spanish capital for a reduced fee of just £18m.
Diaz made just 13 La Liga appearances for Los Blancos last season, scoring three times.
Unfortunately for the 25-year-old forward, who hails from the Dominican Republic, he hasn’t quite cut it at the Bernabeu.
Emery will definitely need back up for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette for the upcoming season.
The Gunerrs have also been linked with Real winger Lucas Vasquez, who was a regular under Zinedine Zidane.
