Arsenal boss Unai Emery is expected to have an extremely busy summer ahead.

The Spaniard has eyed a clear out of a number of his underperforming stars, while out of contract members such as Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck will also need replacing.

According to reports, Emery has already identified Andre Gomes as the man to replace Ramsey who is set to join Juventus at the end of the season.

The Barcelona midfielder has impressed on loan at Everton this season.

Gomes has notched up seven Premier League assists so far as the Toffees compete for a Europa League spot.

Marco Silva’s side are keen to make Gomes’ loan switch a permanent, with the midfielder now highly-rated on Goodison Park.

However, Arsenal are now considering hijacking Everton’s move for the 25 year-old with Unai Emery a big admirer of Gomes, who he tried to sign last year.

ESPN add that Emery sees Gomes as an ideal replacement for Aaron Ramsey at the Emirates.
