Hector Bellerin could miss Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool this weekend.
The right-back was substituted during Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace. It was Arsenal’s frist dropped points since August.
Bellerin, who has been a regular during Arsenal’s 11 match winning streak was replaced by experienced right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner at the break with the Gunners trailing by one goal.
Arsenal turned the game around with two quick-fire goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the Eagles hit back late – Luka Milivojevic earning his team a point from the spot.
When asked about Bellerin’s substitution, Emery confirmed that the 23 year-old is injured.
“Yes, he’s injured,” said the ex-Sevilla boss. “I hope it’s not a big injury, but he had muscular pains.
“I don’t know [whether he’s a doubt for the Liverpool game next Saturday].”
Arsenal meet Blackpool in the Carabao Cup and Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League either side of the Liverpool game.
Despite Sunday’s draw, the Gunners are now unbeaten in 12.
