Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a hat-trick to bring Arsenal their first ever Europa League final after a 4-2 win over Valencia at the Mestalla (7-3 on aggregate).

Gooners would have been concerned prior the second leg clash in Spain following such a poor run of form in the Premier League.

Unai Emery’s side have taken just 4 points from a possible 18 domestically – a run that has seen them fail to finish in the Premier League’s top four.

However, the north Londoners sublimely coped with the pressure of the Europa League being their only route into the Champions League next season.

Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette continued to blossom, with both lethal strikers getting on the scoresheet. Aubameyang’s hat-trick is his first for the club, whilst Arsenal’s player of the season Lacazette helped himself to his 18th of the campaign.

Arsenal will meet Chelsea in Baku for the final. The Blues edged past Frankfurt at Stamford Bridge. A 1-1 draw followed a 4-3 triumph on penalties.
