Arsenal have been very active in the transfer market thus far, bringing in Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Schalke and signing Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon in a club-record deal, but Arsene Wenger is not ending his summer activity just yet.

Following a campaign where Arsenal finished outside of the Premier League’s top-four for the first time under the Frenchman’s guidance, pressure is on the Gunners this summer to strengthen their ranks and challenge for a league title that’s eluded them since 2004.

Wenger seems prepared to spend heavily in the market to bolster his ranks this summer and is next target is Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, with Arsenal set to step-up their interest in the Frenchman despite the French principality side indicating they do not want to sell.

With the future of Alexis Sanchez and other key players at the Emirates Stadium continuing to be shrouded in mystery, Arsenal need to ensure they have adequate replacements lined up in case the worst happens.
