Arsenal got off to the perfect start down under with a 2-0 victory against Sydney FC, with goals from captain Per Mertesacker and new club-record signing Alexandre Lacazette sealing the win.

The Gunners also saw young trio Joe Willock, Cohen Bramall and Reiss Nelson impress in the match, suggesting they could be useful assets for the forthcoming season, and fans now eagerly await Arsenal’s second match in Sydney tomorrow morning.

Arsene Wenger is likely to make a number of changes to his side, most likely seeing none of the players that started against Sydney FC feature from the off, and we could see David Ospina, Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny for the first-time this tour.

Fans will be eager to see more of Lacazette though, preferably from the start and spearheading Arsenal’s attack, and supporters got to witness the boys in an open training session- where ArsenalFanTV went live with a fantastic video, which you can watch above.
