Arsenal should not appoint Patrick Vieira as the man to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates.

That’s the view of ex-England international Danny Mills.

Vieira has been linked with a return to the club following Wenger revealing he will be stepping down at the end of the season.

Last week, the Gunners boss also tipped his former prodigy to one day take over at the Emirates.

However, Mills doesn’t believe Vieira has enough experience to manage his old side just yet.

Arsene Wenger is set to step down at the end of the season

As reported by Sky Sports, the pundit said: “I think that would be a heart-over-head appointment. Undoubtedly he’s going to be a very good manager but I think it might be a little too soon. I think he needs more experience at the top level.”

Meanwhile, former Chelsea star Dennis Wise believes Juventus boss Max Allegri would be the perfect fit for the Gunners, claiming the Italian woudl fix Arsenal’s defensive problems.

“I think this is someone who would be very well suited at Arsenal, defensively and tactically it’s what they need because Arsenal struggle at the back and in midfield,” said Wise.
