Nicolas Pepe’s super strike against West Ham has won Arsenal’s Goal of the Month competition, as voted by the fans.
The Frenchman, who looks to be finally finding his feet at the Emirates netted just his fourth goal in Arsenal colours at West Ham in a 3-1 win on December 9.
Pepe received the ball from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the edge of the box. The winger cut inside onto his favoured left foot and curled the ball into the far corner to give Arsenal the lead.
The win was Freddie Ljunberg’s only victory in his short spell as interim boss, but the Swede will have fond memories of this stunning finish.
Pepe has gone on to net once more. Helping Arsenal to beat Manchester United on New Year’s Day.
The £72m man will be keen to impress when the Gunners travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
