Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang shared an awkward exchange with Kevin-Prince Boateng during an Instagram live.

The Arsenal captain appear to swerve questions surrounding his future with the form AC Milan midfielder Boateng.

Aubameyang, 30, has just one year left on his current deal.

He’s been the subject of interest from the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona, but Arsenal are keen for the Gabon international to stay at the Emirates.

To pass the time during this coronavirus lockdown, Auba took to Instagram and live streamed with Boateng.

Boateng told Aubameyang that he was getting loads of comments from Gooners asking if he would stay at the club and the forward’s reaction was rather telling.

The transcript….

Boateng: ‘They’re [Arsenal fans] all saying you should sign a new deal with Arsenal’

Aubameyang: ‘Ah…yeah. I know’.

Boateng: ‘How long do you have left?’

Aubameyang: ‘One year’.

Boateng: ‘Ohhh okay…Okay I cannot ask you ‘Will you stay at Arsenal?’ [because] that’s a stupid question

Aubameyang [laughing]: ‘Sure, sure’.

Boateng: ‘He’s going to come to Besiktas’.

Arsenal’s chances of keeping hold of Aubameyang seemed slim even before that exchange.

With a return to Champions League football unlikely, the Gunners may need to start thinking about a potential replacement.
