Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi received his first senior call up to the France national team earlier this week.

The 20 year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the new season and claimed the Man of the Match award in Arsenal’s comeback draw in Sunday’s North London derby.

Guendouzi, who arrived from Lorient for £7m last summer has already made 52 appearances for Arsenal.

His good form has urged Didier Deschamps to call him up for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Albania and Andorra, meaning that he’s likely to receive the first of many international caps.

But being called up comes with a price.

The Frenchman, alongside Lille forward Jonathan Ikone, was asked to make his presence known to their new teammates.

Guendouzi stood up in front of all of his compatriots to sing a song as a way of introducing himself to the group.

Can we all agree that Matteo should stick to football?
