Arsenal are aiming to complete a Premier League double over Watford on Monday to keep pace with their top four rivals.

The Gunners have slipped to sixth in the league after both Tottenham and Manchester United picked up wins over the weekend.

Chelsea failed to consolidate their place in the top four after a 2-0 defeat to table toppers Liverpool.

Unai Emery will set his side up withoutSokratis Papastathopoulos. The Greek begins a two-match ban for accumulating 10 bookings.

Granit Xhaka has a groin injury and will be assessed ahead of the game, while Danny Welbeck, Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin remained sidelined.

As for the hosts, Jose Holebas suffered a hamstring injury during the FA Cup semi-final win over Wolves, Quina has a shoulder injury and Cleverley a calf problem.

Arsenal will be hoping the Hornets are still suffering from a post-FA Cup hangover following their progression to the final.
