AFC Bournemouth host Arsenal at Dean Court in the Premier League on Saturday evening. The referee is Robert Jones and the kick-off is at 17:30. Ahead of the match, we have looked at some of the views from Arsenal Talk.
The hosts go into this match with just 8 points from 7, while Arsenal 17 points from 7. The host’s only two wins of the season so far came away at Everton (2-3) and at home to Southampton (3-1), while Arsenal head into the match with no defeats.
Pre-match views:
Riou: “These guys alongside teams like Brentford and Brighton are faces of the new woke nonsense of the current Premier League, and a significant part in why football is not a patch on what it was in the 90s and 00s.
Just these annoying nothings clubs that have become a fabric of the top division (albeit through some good squad building and ownership, to be fair) and make the league so sterile and boring.
Hopefully, we smash them here and all three get relegated, with the likes of Leeds and Sunderland taking their place… proper teams with proper history!
3-0 Arsenal here.
Saka will 100% start this, no chance Bukayo can be kept away from. 2 games in a row after missing the last England game…his mindset won’t allow it, he will score here too.”
sakalacaxhaka: “Havertz is fine, it’s been a precautionary international withdrawal, Saka could have played last night but Carsley said they decided not to risk it.
Martinelli and Ødegaard are the only main absentees, we should be able to cope without this one.
My starting 11 would be:
Raya
Timber – Saliba – Gabriel – Calafiori
Partey – Rice – Merino
Saka – Havertz – Trossard
Merino has got minutes for Spain this week, so all being well tonight he should come back with match fitness, and this is a good game to give him a start before going to Liverpool.
Gabriel is playing for Brazil on Wednesday night, so there is a part of me tempted to rest him and play Calafiori as the LCB and put in Tomiyasu, feels risky bringing him back and putting him straight in.”
Mrs Bergkamp: “Bournemouth have been a bit awkward despite some good results for us. I’m hoping for an early goal, no more injuries, good and timely subs and a boost to our GD-plus 3/4 would be nice. We should be cautious here though and still do our job properly. 0-4 like last September, please. COYG.”
