Has silly season really started this early? Arsène Wenger has confirmed that he is not interested in Egyptian keeper Essam Al-Hadary, who was rumoured to be on his way by the oh so knowledgeable tabloids.

Arsène came out and said, bluntly and plainly:

“No I am not interested in the Egyptian keeper”

Whether we get or not a new keeper will in all likeliness depend on who stays and who goes, and whether or not Almunia can keep his current form. Since Lehmann might be on his way before next season, it’s not difficult to see why we are being linked to new keepers.

It will also be interesting to see whether or not Fabianski is ready to be our 2nd keeper despite his young age.
