Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keeping tabs on Real Madrid youngster Marcos Llorente according to reports from Spain (via TalkSport).
The midfielder who, despite being highly rated by manager Zinedine Zidane, is still a fair way down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu and is currently out on loan at fellow La Liga side, Alvares.
The 21-year-old, who made his debut for the Galacticos last season and has three appearances for the Champions League winners to his name, has made six appearances for his current side this season, picking up one assist.
Llorente is a versatile defensive midfielder and can also deputise as a centre half when called upon by his boss.
Considering his position within the squad, with a number of centre midfielders considered above him in Zidane’s plan, could give the Gunners boss the chance to pounce and strike a deal.
However, with the likes of summer signing Granit Xhaka and fellow midfielder Francis Coquelin already performing this season, another midfielder should not be too high on the priority list.
