Arsene Wenger wants Theo Walcott to remain at Arsenal.

The Englishman has been on the periphery of the Gunners first-team this season, with the forward limited to Carabao Cup and Europa League appearances.

Walcott has been a mainstay in the Arsenal first XI for most of his career, but it appears Arsene Wenger has lost faith in his prodigy.

The 28 year-old, who is approaching 12 years in North London, was urged to leave by Arsenal legend Ian Wright earlier this week.

However, Wenger insists Walcott’s future is at the Emirates.

‘I do not want Theo to move on,’ said the Frenchman. ‘His time in the Premier League will come.

Walcott scored a brace away to BATE Borisov last month.

‘I’ve gone into a rotation policy because we play Thursday, Sunday most of the time so at the moment he has got less minutes in the Premier League than other competitions.’

Walcott’s contract with the club expires in the summer of 2019. The winger currently on £140,000-per-week will be entering his final year at the end of this season.

Gooners, we want to hear from you! Do you want to see Theo stay at the club? Let us know in the comments…
