Speaking at today’s pre-match press conference, manager Arsène Wenger revealed his summer transfer plans.
In short, there isn’t much he intends to do, but stressed that if there was a chance to do a big transfer, he has the funds to do so.
Some newspapers have speculated that there is up to £40 million available for the Frenchman, but this is again, pure speculation.
Wenger said: “Frankly I don’t know [how much is available]. We have not completely checked out our financial position.
“The only thing I can say is that the Club is in a healthy financial situation and, if needed, we can make a big transfer.
"No I don’t [expect a busy summer] at all.
“The team is 23-years-old [on average] so why should we expect to have a huge turnover at the end of the season?”
